Getting To The Airport
The airport is located directly off the M60 Ring-road Motorway. The usual route that we take is via the A628 Woodhead pass. This route however often closes during the winter months due to bad weather. In this case, we would take the M62 Motorway via the M1 North Motorway. We drop you off and pick you up directly outside each terminal entrance. We are always ready to pick you up as soon as you exit the terminal. Journey time from Sheffield, Rotherham and Doncaster can take between 1.5 to 2 hours. However this may change depending on the time of day and traffic conditions. Early morning or late night journeys avoid traffic delays and so are usually much quicker. Manchester Airport advises it’s passengers to arrive at the airport no later than 3 hours prior to departure for international flights.
At The Airport
After you can checked in and are through the security checks, you will be able to relax or rest at some of the available lounges. Similarly, there are many bars and restaurants for you to enjoy. Why not treat yourself to some duty-free shopping whilst you’re there. Free WiFi is available at all three terminals and lounges.
